1. On our website you find a calendar for each campervan. You can select the available dates and fill in your personal information to send us the request. Our system will automatically put the requested dates pending in our system. After this, we will send you an email to confirm the dates you requested. To make the booking definite we ask for a 50% down payment. We will send you a quote with all the information needed to make your booking compleet.
Our campers have basic insurance plus passenger and brake down service on location. Damage caused by own fault to the rented camper is not included and therefore we will use the deposit of €1000,- to do the rapairs, if the cost are lower than the deposit of €1000,- we pay the difference back. If the deposit is not sufficient, the owner can hold the renter liable fot the excess/remaining cost of repair.
We offer a option to lower your own risk and deposit to €350,- per rental period. For this extra insurance we ask €17,50,- per day (the maximum ammount to pay when there is damage will be €350,-). If you are intrested please let us know so we can add this in the rental contract. For questions or explanation feel free to contact us.
What to do in the event of a breakdown.
Breakdown on the road is of course not nice, we do our best to maintain the campers as good as possible. However, it can of course happen that something breaks down on route. If something is wrong, we always ask you to call us. We will first see if we can help you by telephone, if this fails then our mechanic can come (if you are not too far away) to carry out a repair. If you are unlucky and may not be able to continue or have to go to a garage, we will do our best to arrange a sleeping place for you. If it really cannot be repaired, we will check if we have another camper available or we will help you find another accommodation. You will than of course get the money back from the days that you didn’t use the van (and the days we payed a alternative sleeping place) . In general, little happens and if it does, we will try to solve it. 🙂 Costs of repairs are of course for us!
How to get there
We live 3.5 km from Alcantarilha train station. There are trains www.cp.pt from Porto 530 km, Lisbon 230 km and Faro 46 km to Alcantarilha. We can pick you up and drop you off at the Alcantarilha station. For a shuttle to and from our location you can contact www.yellofishtransfers.com This company provides shuttle service for a reasonable price. In special situations we can personally pick you up for a fee at Faro airport (if you arrive late for example) for more information about this you can contact us.
Pick-up and return times
In principle, the camper can be picked up from 15:00 and must be returned before 11:00. If it is possible with the next/previous rental, we are very flexible with this. A few days before departure, we discuss the best location and time for everyone.
This is tolerated in some area’s, but it is not officially allowed! Of course it is done a lot, usually nothing goes wrong. It can always happen that fines are given, these are always for the renter.
Fines and peage
Unfortunately it can happen that you drive too fast or park wrong and you get a fine. The renter is responsible for this. The peage also is a cost to be paid by the renter. If it turns out afterwards that a fine or peage payment is open in the period the renter rented, then they are still responsible for this cost.
Children and camping.
Children are of course very welcome to go camping. We have a number of different child / baby seats and seats available, these are free as long as they are available. Always request and reserve seats beforehand so that this is clear to us and to you. For more information or questions you can contact us.
